There is only so much time to give pointers in a sling meet, depending on who else is there on the day.
What: A one to one session gives you time to go through any questions and either adjust a current sling you have more specifically to your needs or try out something new. Here, you will find some ideas of what we offer, but if what you would like is not covered, please do get in touch and we will see if we can make it happen.
When: Slots are each arranged individually around what works for you and my avaliablitly. I don't work on Sundays, and weekdays are normally best for me, but please do get in touch to discuss what you would like and we can make a plan.
Where: Consultations usually take place at my home in Crewe to have access to facilities and the full collection of slings and carriers. Other locations may be able to be arranged if needed or preferred.
My name is Esther and I am a babywearing consultant living in Crewe but serving all of east cheshire through our friendly sling meets and library to find the most comfortable, practical and safe ways of carrying your little ones.
I've used as many different kinds of slings as I could get my hands on while carrying my boys. They've helped with bonding after a difficult birth, settling my babies, long days out, baby surgeries, milk supply issues, baby digestion, toddler overwhelm, my mental health and everyday things like carrying clothes upstairs!! I can't imagine life without them now. Being quite short, I have had to do a lot of getting to grips with adjusting carriers/slings to work for me, as well as my 2 boys, which has been slow and sometimes felt like a guessing game. If you are in the middle of this, I hope to be able to make this easier for you, help you and your little ones get comfy safely, try different things out or just dip your toe in and see what's out there that could work for you.
Bring your own sling
If you are not quite comfy in what you already have but want to make it work, or are looking for confidence that you are wearing safely, book a 30-90 minute slot.
30 minutes (£15) is best if you are fairly confident using your carrier and just want comfort tweaks and safety tips.
60 minutes (£25) is best if you are fairly new to carrying or have a new sling that you haven't used much at home yet, or a familiar one that you want to use in a different way (eg feeding in a carrier)
Pre-baby scout out
Adjusting to the world outside is huge for every new-born. Carrying can reduce crying, help with digestion and provide comfort. It can reduce chances of postpartum mental health issues in parents and promote bonding for anyone.
Before baby arrives is a great time to get familiar with carrying options and safety to make those first few months easier on both you and baby.
Initial info session: £20 for 40 minutes. Complimentary first month sling hire free.
Add a second sling fitting session (1hr) with baby (£25) or online fit check (£15).
